Jade Sen, born in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1977 to a Turkish family, is the founder of MRJADE Coffee. He began his entrepreneurial career at 22 in Frankfurt, and went on to work across events, food, construction, fashion, hospitality and music. MRJADE Coffee emerged from that wider journey in 2018, combining his family’s connection to Turkish coffee with the precision and presentation he associated with European hospitality.

MRJADE is both the name of the coffee brand and Jade Sen’s own public identity: a personal brand, not an anonymous corporate label.

Early life & background

Two cultural influences shaped the way he saw craft.

The MRJADE story begins in Düsseldorf. Growing up in Germany in a Turkish family meant moving naturally between two traditions: European structure and presentation on one side, and the warmth, ritual and cultural meaning of Turkish hospitality on the other.

European structure

Precision, presentation and consistency, the vocabulary of European hospitality.

Turkish hospitality

Warmth, ritual and cultural meaning, carried through family tradition.

Grandfather’s coffee, since 1958

Turkish coffee craftsmanship in the family dating back to 1958. Coffee existed inside the family story long before it became a company.

Music, from age six

His first instrument arrived at six, a creative thread that would later run alongside his business career, not separately from it.

From identity to environment

Jade Sen built MRJADE to feel personal.

The name isn’t an anonymous corporate label. It’s deliberately tied to the founder’s public identity, aesthetic and standards, part of why the brand stretches across different creative and commercial fields without disguising the person behind them.

In coffee, that becomes a simple idea: heritage matters, but presentation and consistency matter too. Tradition and modernity aren’t treated as opposites.

Why coffee

The family story became a modern hospitality brand.

Jade Sen introduced MRJADE Coffee in 2018, at a meeting point between Turkish coffee heritage, European precision and contemporary hospitality. This story names Colombia, Costa Rica and Brazil among the coffee-growing regions, with quality control and roasting connected to Germany and Istanbul.

What matters most for the customer is what survives all those steps: aroma, texture, balance and consistency in the final cup. Today, the Downtown Dubai location gives that story a physical home, specialty coffee alongside matcha, iced drinks and quick takeaway. See from farm to cup for the fuller sourcing journey.

Music & creative identity

The artistic side was never separate from the business side.

In 2018, the same year MRJADE Coffee launched, Jade Sen released the single “Welcome to Turkey,” bringing his Turkish roots directly into his public creative work. Music has been a long-running part of his identity, not a late extension of the business.

That creative instinct helps explain why MRJADE projects place so much weight on presentation. Whether the medium is a song, a dining room, a fashion piece or a coffee cup, the finished experience is expected to carry a point of view.

A brand becomes memorable when the product, the place and the person behind it feel connected.Jade Sen, on the MRJADE brand philosophy
The philosophy

Three ideas keep appearing in the MRJADE story.

Not that the founder has worked in several industries, that’s not unusual. It’s that the same themes keep returning across them.

01Heritage

Know where the idea came from.

Turkish roots, family coffee tradition and a German upbringing give the brand a cultural foundation that predates the cafe.

02Craft

Presentation should support the product.

Coffee, hospitality and design are treated as connected parts of one experience, not separate departments.

03Evolution

Tradition is a starting point, not a museum piece.

The MRJADE approach combines older cultural references with contemporary spaces, technology and aesthetics.

The story today

MRJADE Coffee now has a Downtown Dubai address.

At Burj Crown on Emaar Boulevard, the founder story isn’t abstract anymore. It’s expressed through specialty coffee, matcha, signature iced drinks, takeaway service and a visual environment designed to feel unmistakably MRJADE, close to Dubai Opera, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
