Quick answer

Where does MRJADE’s coffee actually come from?

MRJADE sources coffee from Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil and Colombia, has it evaluated for quality in Hamburg, roasts it in Istanbul, and brews it at Burj Crown in Downtown Dubai. Four stages, one chain: each one is meant to protect the work already done at the last.

We don’t yet publish specific farm names or third-party certifications, so read “specialty” here as a description of our process rather than a scored certification.

Five stages

Origin to Downtown Dubai, one chain of decisions.

Coffee quality isn’t decided at one point. It’s built and protected across every stage between the farm and the final pour.

01

Origin

Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia

Four growing regions in MRJADE’s sourcing story, each known for a different profile. Variety, altitude, rainfall and harvest timing shape the raw coffee before a roaster ever touches it.

02

Hamburg

Quality evaluation

Batches are checked for consistency and physical quality: bean size, moisture and overall integrity, before the coffee is cleared to move forward.

03

Istanbul

Roasting

Roasting combines traditional methods with modern control of temperature, duration and roast development, shaping sweetness, acidity, body and aroma.

04

Dubai

Precision brewing

The roasted coffee reaches Burj Crown, where a brewing setup built to control temperature, pressure, time and grind turns it into espresso, V60 and more.

Where it’s grown

Four origins, four different profiles.

MRJADE’s sourcing story names four growing regions. Coffee from different origins tastes different by design, which is one reason sourcing isn’t reduced to a single “premium bean” claim.

Panama

One of the four growing regions in MRJADE’s coffee story, alongside Costa Rica, Brazil and Colombia.

Costa Rica

Named among MRJADE’s sourcing origins; Costa Rican coffee is widely associated with careful production and clean, structured cup profiles.

Brazil

One of the world’s largest coffee-growing countries, and one of the four origins in MRJADE’s coffee.

Colombia

Completes the four-origin list in MRJADE’s sourcing story, a country long associated with balance and aroma in the cup.

Before it’s brewed

A quality check in Hamburg. A roast in Istanbul.

Growing the coffee well is only the first decision. MRJADE’s process adds two more stages before the coffee ever reaches Dubai.

Hamburg: evaluate

Batches are checked for consistency and physical quality, including bean size, moisture and overall integrity, before moving forward.

Istanbul: roast

Roasting combines traditional methods with modern control of temperature, duration and roast development, shaping sweetness, acidity, body and aroma.

Why two stages, not one

A good roast can’t fix inconsistent raw coffee. Checking quality first means roasting has something worth developing.

A heritage connection

Istanbul also links the roasting stage to MRJADE’s own Turkish coffee heritage, carried through to the Turkish Coffee on our menu.

The last stage

Dubai is where the journey becomes a cup.

MRJADE Coffee sits at R01, Burj Crown on Emaar Boulevard, close to Dubai Opera, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall. This is where sourcing, evaluation and roasting either pay off or don’t: espresso, V60, Turkish coffee and the rest of the menu, brewed on equipment built to control temperature, pressure, time and grind.

The route can span continents, but the measure stays simple: does the coffee taste good enough to order again? Read more in how MRJADE protects the cup.

Why it matters

A long route doesn’t automatically make coffee better.

Traceability is only useful when it explains decisions, not just distance. Origin shapes the raw coffee. Evaluation checks consistency. Roasting develops the profile. Brewing decides how much of that profile survives into the cup. The strongest part of MRJADE’s story isn’t the number of cities involved; it’s whether each stage has a clear purpose. Origin matters. Process matters. Taste decides.

Quick answers

The MRJADE coffee journey: your questions

Short answers about where our coffee comes from and how it gets to your cup.

Where does MRJADE’s coffee come from?

MRJADE’s sourcing story names Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil and Colombia among its coffee-growing origins. After harvest, the coffee is evaluated for quality in Hamburg, then roasted in Istanbul, before it reaches our cafe at Burj Crown in Downtown Dubai.

Why does MRJADE’s coffee travel through Hamburg and Istanbul before reaching Dubai?

Hamburg is where MRJADE checks each batch for consistency and physical quality, including bean size, moisture and integrity. Istanbul is where the coffee is roasted, combining traditional methods with modern control. Dubai is where it’s brewed and served.

What does farm to cup actually mean at MRJADE?

It means five connected stages: origin (where the coffee is grown), evaluation in Hamburg, roasting in Istanbul, precision brewing in Dubai, and the finished drink in your hands. Each stage is meant to protect the work already done at the one before it.

Is MRJADE’s coffee certified or does it name specific farms?

Not yet. MRJADE names its countries of origin and describes its evaluation and roasting process, but does not currently publish specific farm names or third-party certifications. We’re describing our own process here, not a certification.

Where is MRJADE coffee roasted?

In Istanbul, using a combination of traditional roasting methods and modern control of temperature, duration and roast development. Roasting is also where the brand’s Turkish coffee heritage connects most directly to the final cup.

What happens to the coffee once it reaches Dubai?

At our Burj Crown cafe, coffee is brewed on equipment designed to control temperature, pressure, extraction time and grind, whether it’s going into an espresso, a V60 filter or a Turkish coffee. Read more in how MRJADE protects the cup.

Does the sourcing story affect what I should order?

Not directly; every drink on the menu uses the same sourcing and roasting process. It’s useful context if you care where your coffee comes from. For a drink-by-drink guide, see our specialty coffee guide.

Where can I try MRJADE coffee in Dubai?
